Description

We’re looking for a senior-level PHP engineer who lives and breathes technology and wants to steer the development of innovative products. You’ll design, build, and deliver complex software solutions while mentoring fellow developers and championing best practices.

Engagement: Hourly contract

Tech stack: PHP 8, Laravel, MySQL, Redis, Docker, AWS

What you’ll do

• Architect and develop scalable micro-services in Laravel/PHP 8.

• Optimize REST and real-time APIs for sub-150 ms response times.

• Guide code reviews, enforce clean-architecture principles, and lead technical decision-making.

• Pair with DevOps to streamline CI/CD and containerized deployments.

• Share knowledge through mentoring sessions and technical workshops.

Requirements

• 5+ years building production PHP applications (Laravel or similar).

• Deep expertise in PHP 8, MySQL, and web-application architecture.

• Solid grasp of design patterns, SOLID principles, and test-driven development.

• Comfortable working both autonomously and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

• Clear, proactive communicator able to convey complex ideas simply.
